The Traveler's Guide from Death to Life

One of the more interesting books in my library goes by the title The Traveler's Guide From Death to Life. You may not have heard of the book. Neither had I when I stumbled upon it. Why should I have? Apparently, it was quite popular in its day. Over 5 million copies of the book were printed! English and French were reading this book in the trenches during WWI.

The Guide is a fun little book. It's full of brief redemptive stories, sermons, aphorisms, illustrations, marginalia, and Bible verses. Though first published in 1880, this book is still fascinating and relevant today.
